Author Avril McDonald visits Waikanae School:

The Feel Brave stories form an important part of our teaching, delivering powerful messages and simple strategies for children to understand emotions.

We're thrilled that every primary school in Aotearoa will be given the latest book thanks to funding from the Wright Family Foundation and the support of Life Education Trust and Save the Children New Zealand.

Called The Wolf and the Hocus Pocus, this book aims to empower tamariki to use their brave voices, encouraging them to speak out and find help if they experience abuse. These Waikanae students were captivated at a special reading by author Avril McDonald.
